The most recent data (December 30) for the city of Rochester show the percent of residents receiving at least one vaccine dose is 56.6%, with 20 of the 79 tracts reaching 65% or higher, and 10 reaching 70% or higher.
December is National Root Vegetable Month and although many root vegetables are available year round, many are freshest during the winter months.
November is American Diabetes Month. According to the Rochester Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO), 82% of adults in our region had their diabetes under control in 2018 (HbA1c less than 8%). This number increased 8% over the prior year.
The most recent data (November 18) for Monroe County includes children (5 to 11 years old), who are now eligible for the vaccine. There are currently 56 (of 179) census tracts with vaccination rates of at least 70%, five (5) of those are in the City of Rochester.
