Christmas Tree Farms and Visits with Santa

This month we showcase holiday-related resources across the 5-county area.
Data from the New York State Christmas Tree Farmers Association show many locations in the area to purchase locally grown trees, while information from KidsOutAndAbout.Com show locations Santa can be found for visits, breakfasts, and pictures.
We have also included data on the number of family farms, and the quality of farmland, which may be layered on the map to show interesting results.  For example, it appears that  Christmas tree farms are likely to be located on prime farmland and in counties with higher numbers of family-owned farms (per population base).
Please visit the map to see these data. You may also search for other seasonally-relevant available data, such as snowfall change, and temperature variations for the region.
Happy Holidays from RocHealthData!
